In the temple we went to a wishing bell to wish for something we wanted.Before you wish you put your two palms together and bow you then make your wish and then ring the bell.Now they just don't come true you have to work hard for them and that's what i'm going to do work hard for my dream.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 7 and my teacher is Mrs Tuakoi.

The wishing bell
The wish wall
The wishing wall is where you make another wish and stick it on the wall for people to see. So you make responsible wishes not silly ones and once your done you stick it up on the wall. When you stick it on the wall it will look pretty with all the different colours.

Bathing the Buddha
Buddhism worship the buddha by bathing him on the left shoulder then the right shoulder and after that the back why is the Buddha so important to buddhism here's why. Buddhism began in northeastern India. Buddhism is the main religion in many Asian countries. It is a religion about suffering and the need to get rid of it. A key concept of Buddhism is Nirvana, the most aware, and blissful state that one can achieve and that's why the buddha is important to them.

Lotus flower
This is a lotus flower in origami a lotus flower is very important to the Buddhist religion here's the reason why. Those who are working to rise above the muddy waters will need to be faithful followers. The color bears importance in the meaning of the lotus flower in Buddhism. A white lotus flower refers to purity of the mind and the spirit. If a lotus flower is red, it refers to compassion and love
