Water safety rules

Do you know the four simple swimming skills you have to learn at school, if not here they are:

Breaststroke
Freestyle
Backstroke
Butterfly

As we all know swimming is compulsory to learn in school going up to college because it could and
can save your life in certain times  Water safety is something you need you now so I have multiple reasons
that are about water safety.

1. If you get caught in a rip and you don’t know what to do just simply  calm down and float on your back until
you end up on shore or when the rip is finished.

2. Weather you fall into the sea from a boat you should calmly swim back to the boat you fell off.

3. Children, if you  want your children to be safe you should always supervise them no matter how far or how
close always make sure you children stay in between the flags  or close to shore.

4. NEVER swim alone especially at night cause you never know what or who is in the water.

5. Free divers can hold there breath for more than 10 minutes.

6.  The oldest stroke in swimming is breaststroke

7. You sweat in pool when you swim. .

8. When you are rock fishing what ever beach you are on be VERY careful especially if you are on
the edged because you don’t know what would happen  you could fall and hit your head anything like
that just be careful.

9. Swimming builds muscle strength and helps maintain a healthy weight, heart and lungs.

10. If you wonder how many times a week you should swim the answer is four days out of five because
swimming is an exercise you  should learn and do constantly. Therefore if you would do this it’s around about
20/30 minutes.

11. If there are humongous waves and you get swept away same thing goes for number 2 just float
on your back until the waves have settled down.

12. Spotting the dangers in and around the water is what to do best before you get in with your children
and warn them what to look and stay away from.

13 Competitive swimming started .in Britain 1830

14. Swimming is important to know because if you are stuck in a difficult position and you  don’t know
what to do swimming would help because you learnt how to swim.

15. When you see someone drowning or struggling from a far it’s best to  find the nearest lifeguard so
he/she can send a rescue team.

16. In New Zealand over 88 people had drowned  in 2017 for not knowing how to swim.

17.Make sure your children are within a arms reach

18. Swimming  skills will save your life

19 NEVER go far out in sea cause you never know what's out there

20. You can never be fit in one day no, so if you want to lose weight keep on swimming doing exercise

21 .Breathing, it can be hard to breath especially if you have a breathing problem. But  get passed
that all you need to do is take it easy in swimming you don't need to be fast to win you have to have the right
breathing and speed to win.

22. Bluebottle jellyfish is something you don’t see often but need to lookout for it cause it HURTS if you stand on it.

23. Avoid alcohol when swimming with children

24. Don’t take any rubbish into the ocean because it would become polluted

25. Don’t hyperventilate

26. The very basic thing you need to know is know how to float but it will take  time.

27. Following the water safety rules you are given will save your life

28. Swimming constantly is a good thing to do

29. I would do ¾  laps to be able to get fit

30.   Stay safe
