What a cool letter, it sounds like you're enjoying your time in New Zealand after your long voyage, and you're getting straight into it catching food for the locals. I'm glad it was a positive experience for you as it can be scary moving to a new place.
I remember being nervous but excited when I went to Turkey for the first time. It was so different to New Zealand, but I loved meeting new people, eating new foods and learning about their culture.
